For an easy ride why not cycle to Kimpton and back? Cycling the same road in the different directions gives you quite different sights and views, making it really worthwhile to do so!

From the High Street in Codicote, turn into Heath Lane. Once you leave Codicote the road goes down quite steeply, giving you an exhilarating ride! Follow the road around the right bend at Codicote Bottom, after which it is an easy ride through the valley to Kimpton.

After a refreshing drink in the White Horse (it's the closest!), return the way you came, until you pass Codicote Bottom. Cycling up the steep hill leading into Codicote is not for the fainthearted!

The safer option is to turn left where you can (signposted Whitwell), and then right onto the road that comes out at Wyvale Garden Centre.
